Week 4 Fantasy Football Rankings

That was a great week for ACTUAL football watching and slightly disappointing in some spots for fantasy. Some studs like Kelce, Ajayi, and the entire Raiders offense fell on their faces and/or did not even come out of the tunnel before the game… I’m looking at you Hunter Henry. A lot of teams are finding themselves at 0-3 this week (even one team of yours truly RIP DJ), but I would tell you to not give up! Fantasy football can change at the blink of an eye and you can easily end up in the playoffs even if you are 0-5! So don’t give up and keep consulting your local FantasyProjections for the most accurate and reliable fantasy advice to help you on your come back. Good luck in week 4…Hunter Henry don’t do me wrong again!

  15. Tyrod Taylor, BUF QB at ATL

Yes Kirk, we like that… we really like that. FINALLY! Captain Kirk came through with not only a fantasy relevant week, but a week that really could have won your the week. Cousins threw for 365 yards and 3 TDs against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday night. This is exactly the performance that fantasy owners were looking for from Kirk who had a break out year last year. Looking back at the first two weeks it actually is not that surprising the Cousins struggled. He faced the Rams who have the 11th best pass defense in the league when it comes to passing yards per game. The poor game against the Eagles I can’t really explain other than it was week 1 and he had a few new weapons in the offense that he was trying to get timing down with. Regardless, Cousins seems to be back in a groove and is facing the 9th worst defense on a passing yards per game basis. The loss of defensive back Eric Berry and other supporting cast members has really taken a toll on the Chiefs and Cousins will be able to exploit this weakness. Fantasy Projection: 337 yards passing 3 TDs.

Matty Ice other wise know  to the public as Matt Ryan has been ice cold compared to his average draft position and I don’t blame owners for being fed up with his performance. Even though I still have him in the top 11 QB’s this week I am fairly low on him compared to other experts. Ryan is not only in a MAJOR slump, but he faces a Bills defense that is coming off a compelling win against a good Broncos team and has proved to be competent if not good against the pass. The Bills are currently the 9th best team against the pass on a yards per game basis and are the only team in the NFL who have allowed ZERO TDs this season. The closest teams to that mark are three teams who have allowed two TDs in the passing game. I think that Ryan has upside as he always does with such and offensive minded team, but I don’t expect him to be a top 5 QB against the Bills. Fantasy Projection: 243 yards passing 1-2 TDs

Running Back
  1. Ezekiel Elliott, DAL RB vs. LAR
  2. Kareem Hunt, KC RB vs. WAS
  3. Todd Gurley, LAR RB at DAL
  4. Le’Veon Bell, PIT RB at BAL
  5. Leonard Fournette, JAC RB at NYJ
  6. LeSean McCoy, BUF RB at ATL
  7. Jay Ajayi, MIA RB vs. NO
  8. Dalvin Cook, MIN RB vs. DET
  9. Devonta Freeman, ATL RB vs. BUF
  10. Jordan Howard, CHI RB at GB
  11. Ty Montgomery, GB RB vs. CHI
  12. Melvin Gordon, LAC RB vs. PHI
  13. Christian McCaffrey, CAR RB at NE
  14. C.J. Anderson, DEN RB vs. OAK
  15. DeMarco Murray, TEN RB at HOU

Leo Fournette is showing why he was such a force in college football and is getting the carries necessary with the Jaguars horrible offensive line to be productive. He is getting 19 carries per game and catching the ball out of the backfield 2-3 times in addition. Fournette is facing the miserable Jets defense this week who are allowing 133 rushing yards per game and 4 rushing TDs over 3 weeks. That rushing yards per game allowed is good for 6th worst in the NFL. With the amount of touches that Fournette gets and the JV Football Jets I expect a huge game that could put Fournette in the top 5 this week. Fantasy Projection: 127 yards rushing 3 catches 25 yards 1 TD

Dalvin Cook Me Some Turkey and Call it Thanksgiving Because I’m Gonna Feast… had a huge week this week and is much in line with the previous comments about Fournette. He had 97 yards rushing and 72 yards receiving with 1 TD in week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccs. I really like the way that cook runs and with Bradford on the shelf I don’t see any reason for them to stop feeding Cook. He is taking on the Detroit Lions this week who are good to middle of the pack against the run, but I dont even factor them into my ranking. Cook is the real deal he is explosive, athletic and has the vision necessary to be great in the NFL. As long as they keep giving him the ball good… no… great! things will happen for your fantasy team. Fantasy Projection: 93 yards rushing 3 catches 35 yards receiving 1 TD

  22. Michael Crabtree, OAK WR at DEN
  23. T.Y. Hilton, IND WR at SEA
  24. Pierre Garcon, SF WR at ARI
  25. Jamison Crowder, WAS WR at KC

I am HIGH on OBJ fever this week after a come back mind blowing performance in the 4th quarter last week against the Eagles. He ended the game with 79 yards and 2 TDs which may not seem that incredible, but when you consider most of that production came in ONE quarter … thats the Odell I know. The Giants offense may not look the best and Eli may look like Eli, but Odell can still get it done every single week when healthy and I think he is back to full health. OBJ takes on the Buccaneers who are second to last in the league in allowing receiving yards per game at 335 yards. They have also allowed 4 receiving TDs and remember that is only in two weeks due to their week 1 bye. I expect another big game from OBJ this week hopefully he doesn’t wait until the last quarter… Fantasy Projection: 9 catches 130 yards receiving 2 TDs

I’m not the biggest fan of Mike Evans this week. He looked extremely frustrated last week even taking some of his anger out on the sideline equipment. He did not have that bad of a game last week with 7 catches for 67 yards, but it’s not quite what you expected when you drafted him in the first round. Unfortunately, I don’t think it gets much better for Evans in week 4. He is facing the Giants who may not have the best offense, but have proven capable on defense. They are 5th best against WR’s when based on receiving yards per game at 188 yards and have only allowed 4 receiving TDs over 3 weeks. Evans will be frustrated again, but will still put up enough production to make him a low end WR1 in week 4. Fantasy Projection: 7 catches 85 yards potential of 1 TD.

Tight Ends
  1. Rob Gronkowski, NE TE vs. CAR
  2. Travis Kelce, KC TE vs. WAS
  3. Zach Ertz, PHI TE at LAC
  4. Jimmy Graham, SEA TE vs. IND
  5. Delanie Walker, TEN TE at HOU
  6. Charles Clay, BUF TE at ATL
  7. Kyle Rudolph, MIN TE vs. DET
  8. Jordan Reed, WAS TE at KC
  9. Eric Ebron, DET TE at MIN
  10. Jason Witten, DAL TE vs. LAR
  11. Coby Fleener, NO TE at MIA
  12. Martellus Bennett, GB TE vs. CHI

Some of you may be surprised to see Kelce back behind Gronk as the second best TE this week in the rankings. I’m kind of surprised myself after having 1 catch for 1 yard in week 3 (legitimately the least you can do to get on the stat sheet). I see the game this week against the Redskins being a shootout and Alex Smith will need to go back to his stud TE to keep up with the Redskins offense. Expect Kelce to bounce back in a BIG way this week. Fantasy Projection: 7 catches 85 yards 1 TD.
