Welcome to week 5 of the fantasy football season! Unfortunately again this week we saw some serious injuries to some very important fantasy football players including Nick Chubb and Austin Ekeler. Both of these running backs will miss mutliple games per sources and you should start looking for long term replacements. We at FantasyProjection are here for you. This week also brings the introduction of actual non-COVID related BYE weeks which makes filling out your starting fantasy football lineup even more difficult. You can utilize all of the positional rankings below as a start sit tool and find replacements for any of your injured star players. These week 5 fantasy football rankings were made using a .5 PPR scoring setting and will be sure to help you make the right decision. Have fun and good luck!

Dak Prescott
He is not necessarily treated as such, but Dak Prescott may be the best fantasy QB for 2020 and a lot of that is due to the game script his defense puts him in. Dak has found himself down in most games so far this season no matter how many points his offense puts up. This is an absolute gold mine for fantasy football. As long as Dak needs to keep pace or catch up to opposing offenses he will be one of the best QBs (If not the best) for fantasy football. Dak will face the New York Giants in week 5 who are surprisingly the 5th toughest opponent for opposing fantasy football QBs through 4 weeks. Not only has this defense been more impressive than I would have imagined they also are lacking any assemblance of an offense, which means Dak will have slightly more trouble moving the ball and won’t need to. Dak is still a great option this week, but is not ranked as highly as he would be against a great matchup. Fantasy Projection: 288 yards 2 TDs passing 16 yards 0.2 TDs rushing
Tom Brady
Well hello there Tom Brady… Brady looked like his GOAT self mainly in the second half of week 4 when he threw for 369 yards and 5 TDs against the LA Chargers. Brady looked to click with his WRs and even his TE OJ Howard on a TD pass (unfortunately Howard has been sidelined for the year). It is important to note that for most of the game Mike Evans was severly hampered by an injury and Chris Godwin, Brady’s other star receiver, sat out the entire game due to injury. Brady will play next on Thursday night against the Chicago Bears who are the 2nd toughest opponent againt opposing fantasy football QBs so far this season. Although Brady managed to get it done against the Chargers, I will be trying to find other options for week 5. Fantasy Projection: 235 yards 1.7 TDs

James Robinson
James Robinson was a fairly unknown player at least to most typical NFL fans, but he is absolutely making a name for himself running the rock for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Throughout the first 4 games of the 2020 season Robinson has averaged over 110 all purposes yards per game and near 1 TD per game. Robinson is proving to be an extremely reliable back week in and week out. It only gets better for Robinson when he faces the Texans in week 5 who have been absolutely dominated in the run game allowing the 4th most points to opposing fantasy football RBs. I have high exepctations for Robinson in week 5 and I do not think he will disappoint. Fantasy Projection: 82 yards 0.4 TDs rushing 2 receptions 21 yards 0.2 TDs receiving
Joe Mixon
Thank you Joe Mixon thank you for finally proving why we all drafted you in the early round of fantasy drafts. Mixon had an absolutely amazing fantasy week in week 4 and most likely single handedly won you your week if you had him in your lineup. Mixon rushed for 151 yards and 2 TDs, but he didnt stop there. He added another 6 receptions for 30 yards and yet another TD. This game was alot due to Mixon’s athleticisim while alot being due to some absolute miserable run defense on the part of the Jaguars defense. Either way this was an incredible game for an RB who had been struggling that you spent high draft capital on so you will take it. Fantasy Projection: 80 yards 0.4 TDs rushing 2 receptions 20 yards 0.2 TDs receiving

Adam Thielen
You knew it had to be coming for Adam Thielen, the star WR for the Minnesotat Viking had been struggling so far this season for fantasy purposes and was in need of a big game to maintain his WR1 status. Well he finally came through in week 4 when he hauled in 8 receptions for 114 yards and 1 TD against the Houston Texans. Thielen looked every bit the star receiver and should continue to impress in plus matchups. This week Thielen will lineup against the Seattle Seahawks who are allowing the MOST points to opposing fantasy football WRs through the first 4 weeks of the season. I am expecting a HUGE game from Thielen in week 5. Fantasy Projection: 7 receptions 69 yards 0.7 TDs
DK Metcalf
DK Metcalf has been unbelievable through the first 4 weeks of the 2020 fantasy football season. Metcalf is averaging over 100 yards per game with nearly 1 TD per game. He only has approximately 4 receptions per game, but he gets everything out of those limited touches. Metcalf has become a favorite target of QB Russell WIlson who is having an MVP caliber year so far and shows no signs of slowing down. Week 5 has Metcalf facing the Minnesota Vikings who are allowing the 5th most points to opposing fantasy football WRs. This game should be an absolute shootout and I expect Metcalf will be the recipient of multiple redzone targets. Fantasy Projection: 5 receptions 83 yards 0.6 TDs

Tight Ends
Rank | Name | Projected Points |
1 | Travis Kelce KC vs. LVR | 15.5 |
2 | George Kittle SF vs. MIA | 12.5 |
3 | Mark Andrews BAL vs. CIN | 11.7 |
4 | Darren Waller LVR at KC | 11.5 |
5 | Zach Ertz PHI at PIT | 11.2 |
6 | Jonnu Smith TEN vs. BUF | 11.2 |
7 | Hunter Henry LAC at NO | 11.0 |
8 | Tyler Higbee LAR at WAS | 10.6 |
9 | Dalton Shultz DAL vs. NYG | 9.5 |
10 | Mike Gesicki MIA at SF | 9.5 |
11 | Hayden Hurst ATL vs. CAR | 9.3 |
12 | Evan Engram NYG at DAL | 9.2 |
Mark Andrews
Mark Andrews may have only had 3 receptions in week 4, but he made everything of those receptions with 57 yards and 2 TDs against the Washington Football Team. Andrews has quickly become QB Lamar Jackson’s go to redzone target and even number 1 receiving option. I’m not a huge fan of the limited receptions Andrews is seeing as I tend to like more steady volume, but considering the depth at the position I will take what I can get. Andrews will face the Bengals in week 5 who are in the middle of the pack against opposing TEs and are not helping Andrews rankings, but not hurting it either. He will be a top fantasy football TE option again in week 5. Fantasy Projection: 4 receptions 56 yards 0.7 TDs
