Just when you thought you had Lamar Jackson pinned down as a rushing first QB he goes out on a Sunday and throws for over 300 yards and 5 TDs…. With only 6 rushing yards. I will say that a lot of this production was the Dolphins horrible defense, but Jackson still proved to be an accurate passer and I think he sticks as a QB1 for the remainder of the year. If you thought things couldn’t get any better for Jackson… think again… he will face the fully depleted Cardinals secodnary and could have another historic day for fantasy. I expect Jackson will pass again more than we are used to, but will also get back to the ground attack. Fantasy Projection: 238 passing yards 2 TDs 42 rushing yards 0.3 TDs
So much for that big first outing by the Cleveland Browns and Baker Mayfield. I though I was crazy last week by ranking Baker so low, but that Titans defense proved to be as strong as I thought they were. Mayfield threw for 285 yards 1 TD and 3 INT a very bad performance for what was supposed to be and explosive arm on an even more explosive offense. Mayfield will take on the Jets in week 2 who are a much better matchup, but until I see this offense gel I can’t rank him much higher than a higher end QB2. Fantasy Projection: 260 passing yards 2 Tds 10 rushing yards 0.2 TDs
Running Back
- Christian McCaffrey CAR vs. TB
- Saquon Barkley NYG vs. BUF
- Alvin Kamara NO at LAR
- Ezekiel Elliott DAL at WAS

- Nick Chubb CLE at NYJ
- James Conner PIT vs. SEA
- David Johnson ARI at BAL
- Chris Carson SEA at PIT
- Dalvin Cook MIN at GB
- Todd Gurley LAR vs. NO
- Derrick Henry TEN vs. IND
- Josh Jacobs OAK vs. KC
- Mark Ingram BAL vs. ARI
- Austin Ekeler LAC at DET
- Sony Michel NE at MIA
- Marlon Mack IND at TEN
- Leonard Fournette JAX at HOU
- Kerryon Johnson DET vs. LAC
- Matt Breida SF at CIN
The Seahawks hyped up Chris Carson during the pre-season and apparently for good reason. Carson rushed for 46 yards and 1 TD along with 6 receptions for 35 yards and another TD. It was Carson’s receiving ability that really impressed and as long as the Seahawks continue to use him heavily in the passing game he will be a top 12 RB option. Carson faces a much tougher front this week in the Pittsburgh Steelers, but his receiving ability should combat the lack of rushing yards. Fantasy Projection: 78 rushing yards 0.6 TD 4 reception 33 yards 0.2 TD
Well it doesn’t look like the Chargers are missing Melvin Gordon… In week 1 Austin Ekeler filled in and rushed for 58 yards and 1 TD while catching 6 passes for 96 yards and 2 MORE TDs. Ekeler was an absolute star in week 1 nd now finds himself in the top 15 at RB in the week 2 fantasy football rankings. Ekeler will face a slightly tougher front in the Detroit Lions who are ranked 13th in the FantasyProjection rushing defense ranks. I still expect the volume will be the overall success factor for Ekeler and he will again prove to be fantasy gold. Fantasy Projection: 58 rush yards 0.33 TD 5 receptions 40 yards 0.3 TD
Wide Receivers
- Julio Jones ATL vs. PHI
- Michael Thomas NO at LAR
- DeAndre Hopkins HOU vs. JAX
- Odell Beckham CLE at NYJ
- Davante Adams GB vs. MIN
- Amari Cooper DAL at WAS
- JuJu Smith-Schuster PIT vs. SEA
- Keenan Allen LAC at DET
- Sammy Watkins KC at OAK
- Adam Thielen MIN at GB
- Mike Evans TB at CAR
- Robert Woods LAR vs. NO
- Julian Edelman NE at MIA
- T.Y. Hilton IND at TEN
- Cooper Kupp LAR vs. NO
- Chris Godwin TB at CAR
- Brandin Cooks LAR vs. NO
- Stefon Diggs MIN at GB
- Alshon Jeffery PHI at ATL
- Josh Gordon NE at MIA
- Antonio Brown NE at MIA
- D.J. Moore CAR vs. TB
- Allen Robinson CHI at DEN
- Tyrell Williams OAK vs. KC
- Kenny Golladay DET vs. LAC
The entire Cowboys offense impressed on Sunday and among those stars on the offense was Amari Cooper. Cooper was doing his best to prove to his team that he deserves a long term contract just like Zeke. Cooper hauled in 6 receptions for 106 yards and a TD in the win over the Giants. Cooper will be facing a middle to back of the pack Redskins secondary that I again think he will take advantage of. Fantasy Projection: 6 receptions 82 yards 0.5 TDs
With AB gone, Tyrell Williams is the WR1 for the Oakland Raiders…maybe not the most coveted position in the NFL, but one that can provide fantasy value especially against the right matchup. Against the Dencer Broncos on Monday night Willaims caught 6 passes for 105 yards and 1 TD. Carr seems to look Williams way often as he should considering the WRs behind him. Williams is a low end WR2 this week due to his amazing matchup against the Chiefs. Last week the Chiefs made nearly every Jaguars wide reciever look amazing and I think the Williams will also benefit from their lack of defense. Fantasy Projection: 5 receptions 69 yards 0.5 TDs.
Tight Ends
- Travis Kelce KC at OAK
- George Kittle SF at CIN
- Zach Ertz PHI at ATL
- Evan Engram NYG vs. BUF
- O.J. Howard TB at CAR
- Delanie Walker TEN vs. IND
- Hunter Henry LAC at DET
- Jared Cook NO at LAR
- Austin Hooper ATL vs. PHI
- Mark Andrews BAL vs. ARI
- Darren Waller OAK vs. KC
- T.J. Hockenson DET vs. LAC
Talented rookie T.J. Hockenson broke out this past week for the Detroit Lions. Hockenson was targeted 9 times which he turned into 6 receptions for 131 yards and 1 TD. Hockenson is extremely athletic and was a first round pick by the Lions. It looks like Stafford is focusing on getting Hockenson the ball. He does not have the best matchup this week against the FantasyProjection 8th best defense against receivers, but I still expect he will end up as a bottom end TE1. Fantasy Projection: 4 receptions 50 yards 0.4 TDs
