Conference Championship Daily Fantasy Football Picks

This article will help you succeed in daily fantasy football this week. Now that the fantasy football season is officially over (sad face)… you may find yourself itching to find any action on Sundays. Playing daily fantasy football on sites like Fanduel or DraftKings can help feed your craving and give you even more of a reason to get into the action. Below I have listed a few of my favorite daily fantasy football picks for the conference championship round. Seeing that there are only two games going on it is a very limited slate so there are not many deep sleeper players to pick from. I have made it even more limited by picking from just the Patriots v. Jaguars game… this was not on purpose… I just can’t trust there will be many points scored in the Vikings v. Eagles matchup. Hopefully these players will not only give you a reason to watch, but also win you your matchup.

Quarterback

Blake Bortles ($7,600 FanDuel and $5,000 DraftKings)

I really really hate to do this, but in tournaments and even possibly cash games I’m going to lean towards Blake Bortles (def future HOF). All joking aside, Bortles is the third cheapest QB this week (out of 4) and has the ability to put up points through the air as well as on the ground. For the price he can give you a pretty big week especially if the Jaguars are down (like they should be) and need to throw the ball to even stay close. The Patriots defense doesn’t scare me at all and, like I mentioned earlier, the Patriots offense should actually help Bortles fantasy numbers. Fantasy Projection: 250 yards 2 TDs 40 rushing yards.

Running Back

Dion Lewis ($7,700 FanDuel and $8,100 DraftKings)

The running back position is absolutely where you need to pay up this week in daily fantasy football. The man I’m going to pay up for is Dion Lewis. Dion has been on FIRE recently going for over 130 scrimmage yards in the past 3 games with 4 total TD’s across those games. Dion takes on the Jaguars this week which sounds like a tough matchup, but actually the Jags have been weak against opposing RB’s which should help Dion this week. I also like that the Pats will be up potentially big in this game and will look to run out the clock with Dion. I’m staying away from Fournette this week… I know he had a 3 TD week against the Steelers, but I think that the Pats will look to take him away and make Bortles throw rendering Fournette useless. Fantasy Projection: 80 yards rushing 1 TD 40 yards receiving

Wide Receiver

DeDe Westbrook ($5,500 FanDuel and $3,900 DraftKings)

Since I’m paying up at RB and I already have Blake Bortles at QB, why not give him a cheap target to hit. DeDe Westbrook has been an up and down receiver this year who has great potential. He has not quite had the fantasy football upside we though he would, but he always has big play potential. I’m hoping that the Jags are down BIG in this game and Bortles has to throw the ball to one of his best receivers in Westbrook. Fantasy Projection: 5 catches 65 yards 1 TD

Tight End

Rob Gronkowski ($8,400 FanDuel and $7,900 DraftKings)

If we can still afford it I’m going with the beast himself GRONK. Gronk is a game changer at the tight end position especially in daily fantasy football and he should come up huge against the Jaguars. The Jaguars have a fairly incredible secondary and I think that the one place Brady will find peace is throwing to his favorite target GRONK. The man is honestly a mismatch against any linebacker you throw on him and if he’s covered by a corner GOOD LUCK. This man is unstoppable and can always win you your fantasy week. Fantasy Projection: 8 catches 85 yards 1-2 TDs
