Everyone was fearing Lamar Jackson’s matchup with the New England Patriots… The Patriots had been amazing up until week 9, but apparently no one told Lamar. Jackosn threw for 163 yards and 1 TD as well as adding 61 yards and 2 TDs on the ground. We are at the point now where Jackson must be considered a top 5 option even in the toughest matchup. He is an athelete at the QB position unlike any we currently have in the game and will find a way to put up points. In week 10 Jackson will take on the Bengals who are helpless both against the run and the passing game. I expect another big game out of Jackson this week. Fantasy Projection: 275 yards passing 2 TDs 56 yards 0.4 TDs rushing.
Drew Brees returned to action in week 8 an immediately looked like his QB1 self when he torched the Cardinals for 373 yards passing and 3 TDs. I think it is fair to say that Brees is healed up and is ready to be a top 5 QB for your fantasy team week in and week out. This week Brees will face the Falcons who are banged up in their secondary and have shown weakness defending the pass. Brees comes in as QB #2 this week due to his incredible matchup and his pass heavy offense. Fantasy Projection: 285 yards 2.5 TDs passing
Running Back
- Christian McCaffrey CAR at GB
- Saquon Barkley NYG at NYJ
- Ezekiel Elliott DAL vs. MIN
- Dalvin Cook MIN at DAL
- Alvin Kamara NO vs. ATL
- Nick Chubb CLE vs. BUF
- Aaron Jones GB vs. CAR
- Josh Jacobs OAK vs. LAC
- James Conner PIT vs. LAR
- Derrick Henry TEN vs. KC
- Le’Veon Bell NYJ vs. NYG
- Marlon Mack IND vs. MIA
- Chris Carson SEA at SF
- Melvin Gordon LAC at OAK
- Devin Singletary BUF at CLE
- Mark Ingram BAL at CIN
- Todd Gurley LAR at PIT
- David Montgomery CHI vs. DET
- Tevin Coleman SF vs. SEA
- Ronald Jones TB vs. ARI
Devin Singletary had that big breakout week we had all been waiting for since LeSean McCoy went to the Chiefs in the pre-season. Singletary rushed for 95 yards and 1 TD as well as having 3 receptions for 45 yards. The most promising sign for Singletary were the 20 rushing attempts he received. Singletary had only received 20 carries in his past 4 games total. This was a huge step up in volume and as long as he is the main rusher in Buffalo he will be a top 20 option every week. Fantasy Projection: 75 yards 0.5 TDs rushing 3 receptions 25 yards 0.1 TDs receiving.
Tevin Coleman was a big disappointment in week 9 against a defensively struggling Cardinals team when he rushed for 23 yards a caught 2 passes for 13 yards. It was fully expected that Coleman would follow up his 4 TD performance in week 8 with another strong effort in week 9. Matt Breida was active in this game and did split the carries with Coleman which greatly effected his value. I expect Coleman will continue to split carries making him a mid to low end RB2 with RB1 upside week to week depending on the workload he receives. Fantasy Projection: 60 yards 0.6 TDs rushing 2 receptions 18 yards 0.3 TDs receiving.
Wide Receivers
- Michael Thomas NO vs. ATL
- Julio Jones ATL at NO
- Mike Evans TB vs. ARI
- Tyreek Hill KC at TEN
- Chris Godwin TB vs. ARI
- Davante Adams GB vs. CAR
- Tyler Lockett SEA at SF
- Amari Cooper DAL vs. MIN
- Cooper Kupp LAR at PIT
- Kenny Golladay DET at CHI
- Keenan Allen LAC at OAK
- Stefon Diggs MIN at DAL
- Allen Robinson CHI vs. DET
- John Brown BUF at CLE
- Odell Beckham CLE vs. BUF
- Marvin Jones DET at CHI
- Emmanuel Sanders SF vs. SEA
- JuJu Smith-Schuster PIT vs. LAR
- Mike Williams LAC at OAK
- D.J. Moore CAR at GB
- Michael Gallup DAL vs. MIN
- Calvin Ridley ATL at NO
- Robert Woods LAR at PIT
- Golden Tate NYG at NYJ
- Christian Kirk ARI at TB
Tyler Lockett was other worldly in week 9 when he destroyed the Buccaneers secondary for 13 receptions 152 yards and 2 TDs. Lockett has been a steady WR options each week especially with the MVP season Russell Wilson is putting together. Even in a tough matchup this week against the 49ers I expect Lockett will be a top 10 WR due to his incredible volume and the ability of the Seahawk’s offense to move the ball. Although I would not expect another 2 TD game I do expect enough offense out of Lockett to make him a must start in most situations. Fantasy Projection: 7 receptions 69 yards 0.6 TDs
Emmanuel Sanders had a huge fantasy day in week 9 when he blew past the Cardinals for 7 receptions 112 yards and 1 TD. This was Sanders third performance as a member of the 49ers and if this is a sign of things to come, his fantasy future is looking bright. Sanders has another great matchup this week against the Seahawks who have been in shootouts this entire year…I don’t think that will change in week 10. Sanders will be a top 20 play at the WR position this week. Fantasy Projection: 5 receptions 72 yards 0.4 TDs
Tight Ends
- Travis Kelce KC at TEN
- George Kittle SF vs. SEA
- Hunter Henry LAC at OAK
- Austin Hooper ATL at NO
- Darren Waller OAK vs. LAC
- Evan Engram NYG at NYJ
- Mark Andrews BAL at CIN
- Greg Olsen CAR at GB
- Jonnu Smith TEN vs. KC
- Eric Ebron IND vs. MIA
- Gerald Everett LAR at PIT
- T.J. Hockenson DET at CHI
Hunter Henry had another top performance in week 9 when he caught 7 passes for 84 yards against the Green Bay Packers. Since coming back from injury Henry has been a top 5 option at the TE position each and every week. He takes on the Raiders in week 10 who are one of the best matchups for opposing receivers. I expect Henry’s success to continue in week 10 where I expect he is a top 3 finisher. Fantasy Projection: 6 receptions 72 yards 04. TDs.
