Wow Aaron Rodgers really proved that he is still one of the best fantasy QBs in the league in week 7 when he threw for 429 yards and 5 TDs while rushing for another TD. Rodgers did all of this without his star receiver Davante Adams and injured secondary receivers. I expect Rodgers will continue to be up and down, but will be a QB1 each and every week. This week Rodgers takes on the Chiefs who are one of the best matchups for opposing QBs and will be another target for Rodgers to shred. Based on their current record I am expecting Adams to be out this week, but it does not seem to matter for Rodgers. Fantasy Projection: 291 yards 2 TDs
Ryan Tannehill started at QB for the Titans this week and instantly looked like the better option over Marcus Mariota for the passing game. Tannehill threw for 312 yards and 2 TDs against the Chargers in week 7. Tannehill draws another amazing matchup this week againt the Buccaneers ho are easily one of the worst defense against the passing game. I dont expect a top 5 performance out of him, but Tannehill could make for a good bye week fill in. Fantasy Projection: 231 yards 1.7 TDs
Running Back
- Dalvin Cook MIN vs. WAS
- Saquon Barkley NYG at DET
- Christian McCaffrey CAR at SF
- Leonard Fournette JAX vs. NYJ
- Chris Carson SEA at ATL
- James Conner PIT vs. MIA
- Le’Veon Bell NYJ at JAX
- Todd Gurley LAR vs. CIN
- Aaron Jones GB at KC
- Nick Chubb CLE at NE
- Derrick Henry TEN vs. TB
- Marlon Mack IND vs. DEN
- Josh Jacobs OAK at HOU
- Latavius Murray NO vs. ARI
- Sony Michel NE vs. CLE
- Phillip Lindsay DEN at IND
- Austin Ekeler LAC at CHI
- Tevin Coleman SF vs. CAR
- Carlos Hyde HOU vs. OAK
- Devonta Freeman ATL vs. SEA
Latavius Murray exploded in week 8 with team member Alvin Kamara out due to injury. Murray showed the league that you can run on the Bears when he tore them up fo 119 yards and 2 TDs rushing along with adding 5 receptions for 31 yards. This was a performance I was not expecting to see expecially against the Bears, but Murray is a very talented player who can definitely fill in while Kamara is injured. Murray will face a struggling Cardinals run defense who if Kamara is out again he should be able to take advantage of and give a top 15 performance. Fantasy Projection: 73 yards 0.5 TDs rushing 2 receptions 24 yards receiving
I definitely thought that Melvin Gordon would come back and completely take over the running game and more of the passing game, but for the most part Austin Ekeler has seemed to hold onto his role as the pass catching specialist. In week 7 Ekeler had 7 receptions for 118 yards and 1 TD against a difficult Titans opponent. This was a confidence boosting performance, but as long as he is only seeing 6-7 receptions per game it will be hard to have him any higher than a RB2. Ekeler has a diffiuclt matchup against the Bears this week, but I trust his pass catching ability will keep him in the RB2 conversation. Fantasy Projection: 20 rushing yards 6 receptions 48 yards 0.2 TDs receiving
Wide Receivers
- DeAndre Hopkins HOU vs. OAK
- Julio Jones ATL vs. SEA
- Michael Thomas NO vs. ARI
- Cooper Kupp LAR vs. CIN
- Chris Godwin TB at TEN
- Tyler Lockett SEA at ATL
- Tyreek Hill KC vs. GB
- T.Y. Hilton IND vs. DEN
- Keenan Allen LAC at CHI
- Kenny Golladay DET vs. NYG
- Stefon Diggs MIN vs. WAS
- Mike Evans TB at TEN
- Julian Edelman NE vs. CLE
- D.J. Chark JAX vs. NYJ
- Odell Beckham CLE at NE
- John Brown BUF vs. PHI
- Cortland Sutton DEN at IND
- Robert Woods LAR vs. CIN
- Brandin Cooks LAR vs. CIN
- JuJu Smith-Schuster PIT vs. MIA
- Allen Robinson CHI vs. LAC
- Larry Fitzgerald ARI at NO
- Tyler Boyd CIN at LAR
- Marvin Jones DET vs. NYG
- Calvin Ridley ATL vs. SEA
DeAndre Hopkins looked like he was finally back in week 7 when he put up 9 receptions for 106 yardsand 1 TD against the Colts. In this same game fellow receiver Will Fuller who in previous games had seen a high share of targets was injured and is expected to miss multiple games. Hopkins will see an increased target share and will face the Oakland Raiders in week 8 who are one of the best matchups in the league for opposing wide receivers. Fantasy Projection: 7 receptions 99 yards 0.7 TDs
Kenny Golladay was a bit of a let down for fantasy owners in week 7 after only recording 1 reception for 21 yards. Golladay was facing one of the toughest matchups in the Minnesota Vikings and the Lions seems to find something that worked in fellow WR Marvin Jones (4 TDs) and stuck with it. I expect Golladay will have a big bounce back game in week 8 when he faces the helpless NYG. I am going right back to him in this matchup and expect a top 10 performance. Fantasy Projection: 6 receptions 74 yards 0.5 TDs
Tight Ends
- George Kittle SF vs. CAR
- Travis Kelce KC vs. GB
- Austin Hooper ATL vs. SEA
- Darren Waller OAK at HOU
- Evan Engram NYG at DET
- Hunter Henry LAC at CHI
- Zach Ertz PHI at BUF
- Gerald Everett LAR vs. CIN
- T.J. Hockenson DET vs. NYG
- Greg Olsen CAR at SF
- Delanie Walker TEN vs. TB
- Jimmy Graham GB at KC
Hunter Henry is now an absolute must start option at the TE position after having another game of close to 100 yards on 6 receptions against the Titans. Henry is one of the first options for QB Philip Rivers and is a dominant target in the redzone. Henry has a tough matchuo against the Bears in week 8, but with the issues at the position and the way Henry has been playing since coming back you are playing him in almost every situation. Fantasy Projection: 6 receptions 67 yards 0.4 TDs
