Welcome to the week 7 fantasy football rankings! The following rankings have taken into account all of the most recent injuries and break out performances from week 6 to best help you set your lineup in week 7. Use the rankings as your guide for stat sit decisions and good luck in week 7!
Quarterbacks
- Patrick Mahomes, KC QB vs. CIN
- Jared Goff, LAR QB at SF
- Kirk Cousins, MIN QB at NYJ
- Tom Brady, NE QB at CHI
- Matt Ryan, ATL QB vs. NYG
- Cam Newton, CAR QB at PHI
- Andy Dalton, CIN QB at KC
- Jameis Winston, TB QB at PHI
- Matthew Stafford, DET QB at MIA
- Drew Brees, NO QB at BAL
- Carson Wentz, PHI QB vs. TEN
- Andrew Luck, IND QB vs. BUF
- Philip Rivers, LAC QB vs. TEN
- Joe Flacco, BAL QB vs. NO
- Mitch Trubisky, CHI QB vs. NE
Jameis Winston came back from his BYE week with attitude last week throwing for 395 yards and 4 TD as well as adding 31 yards on the ground. Winston did have one of the best matchups against the Atlanta Falcons who are currently 4th worst against the pass on a passing yards per game basis. This week Winston will take on the Eagles who are 10th worst against the pass. Although this is a slightly worse matchup I still expect Winston will need to move the ball in order to keep up with the Eagles. This will be a common occurrence this season especially with how bad the Buccaneers defense is. Winston is ranked at QB 8 for week 7. Fantasy Projection: 330 yards 2.5 TDs
Who needs top notch receivers? Definitely not Andrew Luck, who seems to land in the top 10 QB every week regardless of the matchup. Against the Jets in week 6, Luck threw for 301 yards and 4 TDs even without his top target T.Y. Hilton. This week Luck takes on the Bills who are 6th best against the pass, but with the amount of volume Luck is passing each game I still project him as a top 12 QB. Look for Luck to perform as a QB 1 with or without Hilton back on the field. Fantasy Projection: 300 yards 2 TDs
Running Back
- Saquon Barkley, NYG RB at ATL
- Melvin Gordon, LAC RB vs. TEN
- Todd Gurley, LAR RB at SF
- Kareem Hunt, KC RB vs. CIN
- Ezekiel Elliott, DAL RB at WAS
- Joe Mixon, CIN RB at KC
- David Johnson, ARI RB vs. DEN
- Alvin Kamara, NO RB at BAL
- Sony Michel, NE RB at CHI
- Christian McCaffrey, CAR RB at PHI
- Mark Ingram, NO RB at BAL
- Carlos Hyde, CLE RB at TB
- James White, NE RB at CHI
- LeSean McCoy, BUF RB at IND
- Adrian Peterson, WAS RB vs. DAL
David Johnson may not have quite lived up to his top 4 ADP status so far, but he is being utilized more and has a nose for the end zone. In each of the past 3 weeks, Johnson has had 20 or more touches and has scored 5 TDs in the past 4 weeks. The Cardinals are recognizing the need to use Johnson and fantasy owners are being rewarded with touchdowns. This week Johnson takes on the worst team against the run in the Denver Broncos who are allowing 161 yards on the ground per game. If you were waiting for a break out David Johnson game this is his best shot at it. I have Johnson ranked as RB7 in week 7. Fantasy Projection: 75 yards rushing 1 TD 3 receptions 30 yards
In the week 5 Mark Ingram came back from his suspension and completely dominated the rushing attack for the Saints. Ingram rushed for 53 yards and 2 TDs while adding 20 yards through the air on 2 receptions. Although Ingram played the workhorse back role in week 5, I expect his workload will be reduced after giving Kamara a break in week 5 and having time to rest over the week 6 BYE. I still believe that the Kamara/Ingram duo can both find themselves in the top 12 RB most weeks like they did in 2017. This week the Saints face the Ravens who are 3rd best againts the run which is why I favor Kamara for week 7. I expect Ingram will still be the RB11 or better this week. Fantasy Projection: 65 yards .5 TDs 2 receptions 23 yards
Wide Receivers
- Adam Thielen, MIN WR at NYJ
- A.J. Green, CIN WR at KC
- Odell Beckham Jr., NYG WR at ATL
- Tyreek Hill, KC WR vs. CIN
- Mike Evans, TB WR vs. CLE
- Robert Woods, LAR WR at SF
- Michael Thomas, NO WR at BAL
- Keenan Allen, LAC WR vs. TEN
- DeAndre Hopkins, HOU WR at JAC
- Alshon Jeffrey, PHI WR vs. CAR
- Jarvis Landry, CLE WR at TB
- Kenny Golladay, DET WR at MIA
- Tyler Boyd, CIN WR at KC
- Emmanuel Sanders, DEN WR at ARI
- Allen Robinson, CHI WR vs. NE
- Julian Edelman, NE WR at CHI
- Brandin Cooks, LAR WR at SF
- Sterling Shepard, NYG WR at ATL
- Michael Crabtree, BAL WR vs. NO
- Golden Tate, DET WR at MIA
- Devin Funchess, CAR WR at PHI
- Corey Davis, TEN WR at LAC
- Taylor Gabriel, CHI WR vs. NE
- Marquise Goodwin, SF WR vs. LAR
- Josh Gordon, NE WR at CHI
What is there to say about Adam Thielen other than he is an absolute BEAST and is making his case to be a top 3 WR draft pick next year. Thielen has had over 100 yards receiving in every game this year and has 4 TDs so far. Every week Thielen is Mr. Reliable and puts up HUGE numbers for his fantasy owners. This week Thielen is the FantasyProjection #1 receiver facing the New York Jets. The Jets are tied for 8th worst against opposing receivers and Thielen is the hottest receiver they have seen yet. I completely expect Thielen will shred the Jets secondary and wind up with well over 100 yards again. Fantasy Projection: 10 receptions 141 yards 2 TDs
Well Hello Mr. Goodwin! Marquise Goodwin finally showed up in a game and balled out against the the Packers for 126 yards and 2 TDs. This is exactly the version of Goodwin that we thought we would see this season. This week Goodwin take on the Rams who are 11th best against opposing receivers. This is not the best matchup for the speedster, but now that we finally see a spark between him and Beathard he finds himself within the top 25 WRs ranked for week 7. Goodwin will be a boom bust option and is best utilized in your flex as he always has high upside. Fantasy Projection: 3 receptions 45 yards .5 TDs
Tight Ends
- Travis Kelce, KC TE vs. CIN
- Rob Gronkowski, NE TE at CHI
- Zach Ertz, PHI TE vs. CAR
- Eric Ebron, IND TE vs. BUF
- David Njoku, CLE TE at TB
- George Kittle, SF TE vs. LAR
- O.J. Howard, TB TE vs. CLE
- Trey Burton, CHI TE vs. NE
- Austin Hooper, ATL TE vs. NYG
- Jordan Reed, WAS TE vs. DAL
- Kyle Rudolph, MIN at NYJ
- Greg Olsen, CAR TE at PHI
Eric Ebron has quietly been putting on a TE clinic in the absence of Jack Doyle. Ebron has 4 TDs and over 200 yards receiving over the past 3 weeks. Luck seems to always look for Ebron in the red zone and with the TE position being fairly weak this year he is a sight for sore eyes. Ebron faces the Bills this week who are a tough opponent against receivers, but Ebron’s connect with Luck will win out. Fantasy Projection: 5 receptions 55 yards 1 TD
