Welcome to week 2 of the 2018 Fantasy Football season. You have found yourself in exactly the right place for all of your Week 2 Fantasy Football Rankings. Week 1 is now in the books and we have a much better idea of how each defense is looking and better yet how each fantasy player is going to perform. All of these factors learned in week 1 have gone into the perfected fantasy football rankings below. Use these rankings for all of your start sit questions and concerns. Good luck in week 2!

Quarterbacks
  1. Ben Roethlisberger, PIT QB vs. KC
  2. Drew Brees, NO QB vs. CLE
  3. Cam Newton, CAR QB at ATL
  4. Deshaun Watson, HOU QB at TEN
  5. Philip Rivers, LAC QB at BUF
  6. Aaron Rodgers, GB QB vs. MIN
  7. Patrick Mahomes, KC QB at PIT
  8. Alex Smith, WAS QB vs. IND
  9. Kirk Cousins, MIN QB at GB
  10. Tom Brady, NE QB at JAC
  11. Russell Wilson, SEA QB at CHI
  12. Jimmy Garoppolo, SF QB vs. DET
  13. Andrew Luck, IND QB at WAS
  14. Tyrod Taylor, CLE QB at NO
  15. Matthew Stafford, DET QB at SF

Patrick Mahomes, rookie QB for the Kansas City Chiefs, decided to become a fantasy legend in his first NFL game. Mahomes threw for 256 yards and 4 TDs while rushing for an additional 21 yards against the Chargers in week 1. The QB had a lot of help his electric star receiver Tyreek Hill who seems to be unstoppable. I expect this connection to only continue to grow while forming more report with TE Travis Kelce and RB Kareem Hunt. In week 2 Mahomes will face the Pittsburgh Steelers who were 5th best against the pass in 2017 and 6th best in week 1 on a passing yards per games basis. Although this is not the best matchup for Mahomes, I expect this game to be a shootout in Pittsburgh where the Steelers passing game is much better (aka Big Ben). The Chiefs will have to throw the ball to keep up with the Steelers and this game script will only help Mahomes. Fantasy Projection: 251 yards passing 2.5 TDs 30 yards rushing

Tyrod Taylor quietly had a strong fantasy game in week 2 even with the rain and wind in Cleveland. Taylor threw for 197 yards and a TD while adding 77 yards rushing and another TD against the Steelers. The Steelers, as mentioned above, were not a good matchup for QBs in 2017 and Taylor was still able to put up significant fantasy numbers. Taylor’s matchup in week 2 is MUCH better. He is facing the New Orleans Saints who just came off of a game against the journey man QB Ryan Fitzpatrick where they allowed 417 yards passing and 4 TDs. This may be the best matchup that Taylor will see all year and if he can get on track with receivers Landry and Gordon he could have another big game this week. Fantasy Projection: 223 yards passing 1.5 TDs 65 yards rushing 0.5 TDs

Running Back
  1. Todd Gurley, LAR RB vs. ARI
  2. Alvin Kamara, NO RB vs. CLE
  3. Melvin Gordon, LAC RB at BUF
  4. Saquon Barkley, NYG RB at DAL
  5. James Conner, PIT RB vs. KC
  6. Ezekiel Elliott, DAL RB vs. NYG
  7. David Johsnon, ARI RB at LAR
  8. Kareem Hunt, KC RB at PIT
  9. Dalvin Cook, MIN RB at GB
  10. Jordan Howard, CHI RB vs. SEA
  11. Alex Collins, BAL RB at CIN
  12. Christian McCaffrey, CAR RB vs. at ATL
  13. Adrian Peterson, WAS RB vs. IND
  14. Jay Ajayi, PHI RB at TB
  15. Joe Mixon, CIN RB vs. BAL

James Conner did his best Le’Veon Bell impression in week 1 and made all fantasy owners forget about their round 1 draft pick woes. Conner rushed for 135 yards and 2 TD’s while catching 5 passes for 57 yards in week 2 against the Browns. I’m assuming that Bell will not report again for week 2 mean Conner will get another huge workload against the Chiefs. The Chiefs allowed 137 yards rushing in week 1 and average 118 yards in 2017 good for 8th worst in the league. This is a great matchup at home where the Steelers offense is always much better. I forsee another HUGE performance for Conner this week which is why he lands at 5 in the running back rankings. Fantasy Projection: 95 yards rushing 5 receptions 37 yards 1 TD

David Johnson had a lack luster performance in week 1 which he saved with an end of the game TD. Johnson had 37 yards rushing 1 TD and 5 receptions for 30 yards against Washington. Johnson’s performance was mainly the result of a messy looking offense and the fact that the Redskins controlled the ball for the majority of the game. I do expect Johnson to have a great season this year, but he is only the RB7 this week against an impressive LA Rams defense. If the Cardinals are able to get the ball to their star RB more often he could finish much higher than the 7th RB, but that would take great improvement over week 1. Fantasy Projection: 65 yards rushing 5 receptions for 41 yards .5 TDs

Wide Receivers
  1. Antonio Brown, PIT WR vs. KC
  2. Michael Thomas, NO WR vs. CLE
  3. DeAndre Hopkins, HOU WR at TEN
  4. Keenan Allen, LAC WR at BUF
  5. Tyreek Hill, KC WR at PIT
  6. Julio Jones, ATL WR vs. CAR
  7. Odell Beckham Jr., NYG WR at DAL
  8. Mike Evans, TB WR vs. PHI
  9. Jarvis Landry, CLE WR vs. KC
  10. A.J. Green, CIN vs. BAL
  11. Davante Adams, GB WR vs. MIN
  12. Stefon Diggs, MIN WR at GB
  13. Emmanuel Sanders, DEN WR vs. OAK
  14. Golden Tate, DET WR at SF
  15. T.Y. Hilton, IND WR at WAS
  16. Larry Fitzgerald, ARI WR at LAR
  17. JuJu Smith-Schuster, PIT WR vs. KC
  18. Nelson Agholor, PHI WR at TB
  19. Corey Davis, TEN WR vs. HOU
  20. Cooper Kupp, LAR WR vs. ARI
  21. Devin Funchess, CAR WR at ATL
  22. Chirs Hogan, NE WR at JAC
  23. Allen Robinson, CHI WR vs. SEA
  24. Adam Thielen, MIN WR at GB
  25. Josh Gordon, CLE WR at NO

This is the Antonio Brown BLOW UP WEEK of the year! The Steelers are back home at Hines Field where Big Ben is a whole different Hall of Fame level QB as compared to on the road. Not only is Big Ben a monster at home, but the Steelers are facing the Kansas City Chiefs who were 4th worst against receivers in 2017 and 2nd worst in week 1 of 2018 on a receiving yards per game basis. This will be the game that AB wins fantasy owners their match-ups by himself. Fantasy Projection: 10 receptions 155 yards 1-2 TDs

Nelson Agholor appears to be the main receiving threat for the Philadelphia Eagles while start receiver Alshon Jeffrey is out due to injury. Agholor had 8 receptions and 1 rush for a total of 49 yards in week 1 against the Atlanta Flacons. Agholor had 10 targets in the passing game which is a WR1 level of volume. In week 2 the Eagles take on the Buccaneers who were 2nd worst against receivers in 2017 and the worst in week 1 allowing 439 yards through the air. Agholor has a good chance at being a WR1 this week mainly due to matchup and his significant target share in the offense. Fantasy Projection: 9 receptions 65 yards .5 TDs

Tight Ends
  1. Rob Gronkowski, NE TE at JAC
  2. Zach Ertz, PHI TE at TB
  3. Travis Kelce, KC TE at PIT
  4. Jordan Reed, WAS TE vs. IND
  5. George Kittle, SF TE vs. DET
  6. Kyle Rudolph, MIN TE at GB
  7. Jared Cook, OAK TE at DEN
  8. Trey Burton, CHI TE vs. SEA
  9. Evan Engram, NYG TE at DAL
  10. Jimmy Graham, GB TE vs. MIN
  11. Jack Doyle, IND TE at WAS
  12. Tyler Eifert, CIN TE vs. BAL

There was only one Cook in the kitchen for the Raiders in week 1 and his name was Jared! Cook exploded against the Rams for 9 catches and 180 yards. This performance put him as easily the top receiver on the team. I expect Cook to continue to see a significant number of targets in week 2 although it will be against one of the best defenses in the league in the Denver Broncos. This defense is not as good as it was in 2017 as they allowed 298 yards and 3 TDs to receivers in week 1 of 2018. This drop off in performance will definitely help Cook this week. Fantasy Projection: 5 receptions 55 yards .5 TD
