There he is, the surprising Alex Smith from the first weeks of the season! Week 13 gave us a beautiful glimpse of earlier in the season when Alex Smith appeared to have gained fantasy invincibility over the offseason. The past few weeks Smith has been fairly cold compared to how hot he was to begin the season…until week 13. In week 13 Smith threw for 366 yards and 4 TDs (FOUR!). He also rushed for another 70 yards on a long scamper… yes you read that right S-E-V-E-N-T-Y YARDS! Prior to week 13 the Chiefs announced that they were changing offensive coordinators and I can only assume that this change brought back the Alex Smith all fantasy owners missed. This week Smith takes on the New York Jets who are 13th worst in the league against the pass on a yards per game basis, but who have also allowed the second most passing TDs over the season. Not only is Alex Smith coming off an amazing game, but he has one of the best matchups this week. Fantasy Projection: 343 yards 3 TDs

Now don’t get me wrong here…I am a big fan of Russell Wilson. I love his arm, his rushing ability, and his poise in the pocket, but he has the worst match-up you could ask for this week. Wilson is facing the Jacksonville Jaguars who are allowing 167 yards passing per game and have only let up 10 TD’s passing over the entire season. These stats are the best by far in the entire league. To put this into perspective the next lowest passing yards per game are 196, 199 and 204. The next lowest passing TD’s over the season are 10, 12, 12, and 13. All of the second best at these stats are owned by separate teams while the Jaguars have the best of both categories. I believe in Wilson, I still have him as a high end QB2, but I really don’t see this being a great week to play him. Fantasy Projection: 175 yards 1 TD 25 yards rushing

Running Back
  1. Le’Veon Bell, PIT RB vs. BAL
  2. Alvin Kamara, NO RB at ATL
  3. LeSean McCoy, BUF RB vs. IND
  4. Todd Gurley, LAR RB vs. PHI
  5. Melvin Gordon, LAC RB vs. WAS
  6. Lamar Miller, HOU RB vs. SF
  7. Mark Ingram, NO RB at ATL
  8. Leonard Fournette, JAC RB vs. SEA
  9. Samaje Perine, WAS RB at LAC
  10. Devonta Freeman, ATL RB vs. NO
  11. Marshawn Lynch, OAK RB at KC
  12. Rex Burkhead, NE RB at MIA
  13. Alfred Morris, DAL RB at NYG
  14. Alex Collins, BAL RB at PIT
  15. Jamaal Williams, GB RB at CLE

I am in complete AWE of stud rookie RB Alvin Kamara. Not only is he putting up MONSTER fantasy scores each and every week regardless of matchup, but he looks legitimately unstoppable when he has the ball. For being a smaller back than most bell cow backs he plows over opponents and it seemingly take 3 different tacklers to bring him down. No matter who Kamara faces, until he proves otherwise, he needs to be in the top 3 at RB. In week 13 Kamara rushed for 60 yards and 2 TD’s and caught 5 passes for 66 yards. This week Kamara takes on the Atlanta Falcons who are in the middle of the league against the run on a yards per game basis. I really don’t think it matters at this point who he is facing, he needs to be in your fantasy lineup regardless. Fantasy Projections: 70 yards rushing 1TD 6 receptions 61 yards 1 TD.

Wait did I just have a flashback to 2012-2014 or was that really Alfred Morris rushing for over 125 yards and 1 TD. I guess it goes to show you the real strength of the Dallas Cowboys offensive line. Morris looked like a young buck again in week 13 against the Washington Redskins. This performance has me ranking him in the top 15 at the RB position this week against the New York Giants. The Giants are the worst team in the league against the rush on a rushing yards per game basis and I know the Cowboys O-Line will have no trouble with this match-up. I see the potential for another big game from Morris mainly do to the elite linemen of the Cowboys. Fantasy Projection: 63 yards rushing potential for 1 TD.

Wide Receivers
  1. Antonio Brown, PIT WR vs. BAL
  2. Keenan Allen, LAC WR vs. WAS
  3. DeAndre Hopkins, HOU WR vs. SF
  4. Julio Jones, ATL WR vs. NO
  5. Tyreek Hill, KC WR vs. OAK
  6. A.J. Green, CIN WR vs. CHI
  7. Brandin Cooks, NE WR at MIA
  8. Larry Fitzgerald, ARI WR vs. TEN
  9. Michael Crabtree, OAK WR at KC
  10. Marvin Jones, DET WR at TB
  11. Adam Thielen, MIN WR at CAR
  12. Josh Gordon, CLE WR vs. GB
  13. Mike Evans, TB WR vs. DET
  14. Michael Thomas, NO WR at ATL
  15. Dez Bryant, DAL WR at NYG
  16. Davante Adams, GB WR at CLE
  17. Alshon Jeffrey, PHI WR at LAR
  18. Jarvis Landry, MIA WR vs. NE
  19. Robby Anderson, NYJ WR at DEN
  20. Sterling Shepard, NYG WR vs. DAL
  21. Devin Funchess, CAR Wr vs. MIN
  22. Doug Baldwin, SEA WR at JAC
  23. Jamison Crowder, WAS WR at LAC
  24. T.Y. Hilton, IND WR at BUF
  25. Golden Tate, DET WR at TB

Apparently Antonio Brown doesn’t even need a toe to put up a big fantasy game. In week 13 Brown was extremely questionable coming into the week after sitting for multiple practices with a toe injury. No matter what you have to play your studs and Brown proved that point when he caught 8 passes for 101 yards and 1 TD in week 13. This week Brown faces the Baltimore Ravens at home in Pittsburgh where his QB Big Ben is MUCH better than when traveling. This is a very tough matchup for most receivers, but Brown is no ordinary receiver. The Ravens are the 3rd best in the league against receivers on a receiving yards per game basis and have only allowed 12 TD’s over the season to receivers. Although this on paper is a difficult matchup I still have Brown at number 1 for WRs coming into week 14. The man is just too talented to be bothered by a good defense. Fantasy Projection: 10 catches 123 yards 1-2 TD(s)

Josh Gordon is back and he still looks goooood. In week 13 Gordon had 4 catches for 85 yards which may not seem like a Josh Gordon like game, but he is still coming back from a long absence and is still getting on the same page as the Cleveland QB. I expect Gordon will only continue to get better as he becomes immersed in the offense and things start to click between him and the man under center. This week Gordon takes on the Green Bay Packers who are 6th worst in the league against receivers on a receiving yards per game basis and have allowed 19 TD’s to receivers over the entire season. This is a great matchup for Gordon to continue to prove that he still belongs in this league. Fantasy Projection: 6 receptions 90 yards potential for 1 TD.

Tight Ends
  1. Travis Kelce, KC TE vs. OAK
  2. Evan Engram, NYG TE vs. DAL
  3. Jimmy Graham, SEA TE at JAC
  4. Delanie Walker, TEN TE at ARI
  5. Zach Ertz, PHI TE at LAR
  6. Jack Doyle, IND TE at BUF
  7. Hunter Henry, LAC TE vs. WAS
  8. Jared Cook, OAK TE at KC
  9. Jason Witten, DAL TE at NYG
  10. Kyle Rudolph, MIN TE at CAR
  11. Cameron Brate, TB TE vs. DET
  12. Charles Clay, BUF TE vs. IND

Heelllloooo Travis Kelce thank you for bringing life to this otherwise desolate position. In week 13 Kelce had 4 receptions for 94 yards and 2 TDs. This was a HUGE game for one of the positions top talents. With Rob Gronkowski suspended for week 14, Kelce finds himself ranked number 1 against the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders are 10th worst against receivers on a receiving yards per game basis and have allowed 20 TD’s to receivers over the season. Kelce is a must play in week 14. Fantasy Projection: 6 receptions 82 yards 1 TD.
